LITERALLY.

Jesse Lingard has 200 legs and runs at 10 mph.

A thread to cling to, but he tweeted yesterday how proud he was to be part of WHU's improvement and a quick COYI. (After draw, btw).

As long as the Daves are willing to pay sensible money - which will still be £18m-£20m or so, one imagines - I reckon he'll sign.

We MUST be able to flog Yarmolenko to someone. Lingard is literally 10x the player.

With only a year left on his contract, he will move this summer, or in the winter window, unless Man United extend his contract.

Hope we get him.

Fully deserved.

Admit I was not overawed by his signing but now i'm wondering if Manchester will even sell him or will other clubs be sniffing too?

I hope that if Rice plays, as he should, then he'll be given more to do than just operate in that little area he plays in for England, just in front of the defence. He can do so much more.

John Stones this season is world class

Maguire is solid, rest of them arent great though i agree. Id play a back 3 of Walker Maguire and Stones

Dier to be picked again is laughable, how many teams in the prem would he start CB???

Well done Lingard
Amazing turn round considering before Christmas he was not even getting a game.

From what I've seen of Maguire recently, he appears to be getting back to his best. Certainly gave our boys the run around last weekend, Lee!

Mings is a terrible player.

Re: Lingard back in England Squad
Our centre backs aren't exactly great. Conor Coady, Eric Dier, Harry Maguire, Tyrone Mings and John Stones are hardly world class.

Rice has to be guaranteed a first team place now. I can't see anyone in the squad who could even replace him.

Nothing wrong with that; just stating the obvious. Think it reflects well on WHU and Lingard that he's back in the squad. Nothing wrong with being fit and competitive.

Re: Lingard back in England Squad
The continued selection of Dier is hard to understand.
Given you'd expect Maguire & Stones to play it might have been better to take a look at someone like Konsa of Villa around the squad.
Gareth doesnt strike me as the most imaginative of managers

Eric Dier?

Re: Lingard back in England Squad
Contract expires June 21 .... that right, Tex

Southgate hardly giving Lingard a ringing endorsement. If he is talking form as said Dier has been rubbish :
BBC
"Jesse, of the three, is a bit more fortunate to be in," said Southgate. "Luke and John have performed over a period of time.
"We've got injuries in the attacking areas that have opened up an opportunity for Jesse but, I have to say, his performances for West Ham have been excellent.
"Ideally, you'd be saying you have to do it for a little bit longer but that's not been the option this time around."
